xsnews ipv6 status?

It seems like xsnews free ipv6 has gotten more and more problematic and maybe now has ceased altogether for me.
I get access denied to your node, and, connection refused.
Is anyone else still using their free accounts?

thanks!

How to measure retention?

What is the easiest way to measure retention?  I'm considering doing up a little chart of some usenet providers, + my own home provider
and I'm interested in measuring it myself rather than going with (possibly nonexistent/outdated) info published on websites.

thanks for any ideas!

Manually kick off (again) post process?

I had a whole whack of post processing fail because the drive letter wasn't available.
Now I'd like to be able to kick off post processing on these items again, so I don't have to manually unpack repair rename move etc.
Is this possible?

thanks!

Re: SabConnect++ [How to not break hibernation]

OK, I only heard crickets, so I took a step back and re-evaluated. And I've found a reasonable solution. I actually don't know anything about chrome extensions, but it turns out upon investigation this wasn't too hard to change. Actually, it really just consists of allowing you to enter in a higher ...

SabConnect++ [How to not break hibernation]

SabConnect++ works great, but the polling keeps my box awake even when I don't want it to be.   (And setting 30 minute interval isn't enough). Is anyone working around this?  Right now I have to disable, and enable the plugin. I'd love to see a "on demand" setting which would mean only pol...

Re: CouchPotato - Automatic Movie Downloader via NZB & Torrents!

I've tried to configure the quality settings to match the way I would make decisions about what file to select, but, I don't seem to get any success.  It's quite possible I'm configuring wrong but I think there's a possibility that the "fail over" logic might have a problem.  (or maybe, I ...

Re: Cheapest of the cheap services?

Hey sander I seem to have got it (mostly) working.  teredo doesn't work unless you have windows firewall actually enabled. (And without teredo working, sabnzbd hangs adding the xlnews server). First, the result of the url you referenced: et's check your IPv6 connectivity (this can take up to a minut...

Re: Cheapest of the cheap services?

Thanks for the recommendations guys! Sander, could you elaborate?  I checked out those two links, and I've enabled IPV6 on my NIC, but my extremely limited armchair understanding of IPV6 is that you need a tunnel, or hardware that supports V6 all the way down the line.  I don't think my router does ...

Cheapest of the cheap services?

Hey guys I'm with astraweb [block] right now, but I only just recently switched over to usenet for all my downloading needs.  They charge $25 / 180GB, or $11 (discounted) for a monthly unlimited (unlimited rate/bytes).  I've also seen blocknews mentioned ($21 / 200 GB) or their sister site usenetnow...
