Re: About CRC Errors

After redownloading the defective RARs, 8 of the 10 worked, but 2 of them are stilldefective, no matter how often I redownload them. isofan, where are your temporary download folders for SABnzbd located? If they are on a raid, try moving them to a single disk. That was the way I ended my CRC errors...

Re: About CRC Errors

I get a lot of CRC errors since I run Sabnzbd on my Windows Home Server (WHS), but I am not sure if it is WHS, or XLned, or simply "bad" usenet posts. I am currently running Prime95 to check for memory errors, but haven't found any so far. Could you imagine what might cause these errors, ...

Re: About CRC Errors

I've found that if I get a CRC error, it usually doesn't recur if I repeat the download.  So somewhere between the usenet host (I use newsdemon) and my PC something messes up, but it doesn't happen if I just download again.  It could be in the repair phase, in which case re-running PAR2 and unrar m...

General question about downloads that fail once, but succeed when redownloaded

Hi, what might cause the following: I download a RAR-file, it has CRC errors. When I redownload it using the same connection (same usenet provider), the file is okay. Do you think this is rather a problem that my RAM or some other component is defective, or is it caused by the transfer itself, or th...

Re: Cannot access the webinterface from my Nokia 5800 XM phone

Thanks, it looks like Symbian cannot access the local DNS correctly, using the IP address works. I wonder if there is any setting in my router's DNS or in the config of Symbian to make DNS lookup work correctly, but it works at least, since my server has a static IP address.

Nothing extracted, Winrar extracts all perfectly, what is wrong?

Hi, I have a big problem with Sabnzbd not extracting many of my downloads correctly. I have downloaded a large package containing 22 episodes of a free TV  series. Each episode consists of seperate sets of RAR-archives, which in fact can all be extracted manually using Winrar, Par2 is available, but...

Cannot access the webinterface from my Nokia 5800 XM phone

Hi, I have a Nokia 5800 XM mobile phone, and have tried both Opera Mini and the Nokia Browser, but when I try to surf to http://myserver:8080/sabnzbd/m, I only get the message that this site cannot be reached. Of course, I connect using my WLAN (not UMTS or something else of course). I have a laptop...

Thanks, just out of curiosity, I selected the SMPL black skin, is there a way to change the interval the graph is updated? The maximum in the combobox available is 5 minutes, maybe this can be altered in the configuration?

Is there a trensfer statistic per hour?

Hi, I currently have the problem that lots of my downloads take very long. I only have a DSL 2000 connection, that's all I can get here, so my downloads run unattended on a small server. However, I have foudn that downloading 8GB of data takes about 24h time, which is too long, even for my slow DSL ...

Re: How can I configure multiple watch folders?

The only thing you can do is create multiple sub-folders to indicate different categories. Why not use this ?? (mount/share folders) You can make your own categories , with different settings / scripts / folders to save to. I would say this has all that is needed Hi rascalli, sounds interesting, ca...

Re: How can I configure multiple watch folders?

Hi shypike,

the propper tranlastion should look like that, if there is only one watch-folder:

"Überwachter Ordner:
Ordner, der auf neue NZB-Dateien überwacht werden soll."

Run sabnzbd when no user is logged on?

Hi, I am currently moving Sabnzbd from the local desktop to my WHS, and still have an open issue: I can start sabnzbd on the remote desktop, but when I logoff the Administrator, sabnzbd is terminated. Is it possible to run sabnzbd as a service, so that it is still active when no user is currently lo...

Re: How can I define a UNC-Path as Temporary folder?

Before starting SABNzbd, assign a drive letter to the share. net use k: \\server\usenet\temp and then use k:\ as  path instead. The reason for this is that the par2 program doesn't understand UNC paths. Thanks alot, that was exactly my idea, after reading your posting in the older thread that was a...

Re: Download folder not allowed to be UNC path? (WHS)

Well, I'm doing just that for a year now and my WHS is still happy. Do note that such data cannot be shared outside the box. So it's only for temporary storage (cache, incomplete). The final folders must use \\server\share style. Thanks for that information. I am quite aware that everything that is...
