Re: Nothing works - SAB 0.6.8 on PowerMAC 10.4.11
I'm pretty new to using a Mac (have happily avoided them for years), but I have noticed that there's a general disdain among Mac fanboys for anything pre-Intel. Trying to get a hand-me-down PowerMac up and running is a source of never ending frustration, dealing with hard to find documentation and o...

Re: Nothing works - SAB 0.6.8 on PowerMAC 10.4.11
Aargh, ok the Leopard version is working. Phew. Thanks for the help.
This Mac terminology is all new to me. But in all fairness, there's nothing about using the leopard version on the standard download page http://sabnzbd.org/download/

Re: Nothing works - SAB 0.6.8 on PowerMAC 10.4.11
What a nightmare. No, it's not running at all. At least I don't get any output from the ps command. I installed Python 3.2.1 Mac OS X 32-bit i386/PPC Installer (for Mac OS X 10.3 through 10.6) from http://www.python.org/download/ and tried running the script using: /usr/local/bin/pythonw SABnzbd.py ...

Nothing works - SAB 0.6.8 on PowerMAC 10.4.11
I've scoured these forums to figure out how to get the SAB .app working on a PowerMac running OS X 10.4.11. The info I've found is for older versions of SAB or older versions of OS X. The app appears in the Applications folder and I was able to add it to the dock. I've tried all the permutations of ...

0.6.1 - How you retry failed jobs?
0.6.x is supposed to have a feature to retry failed jobs, but I don't see this anywhere in the UI. My jobs typically fail because of CRC errors, and I can easily fix these by re-downloading the pars and using QuickPar to retry the repair. Does the retry feature only appear for other types of erros...

Re: Manually fixing CRC Errors
The errors usually occur during unpack. E.g.
Repair:
[mydownload] Quick Check OK
Unpack:
[mydownload] ERROR: CRC failed in "mydownload.mkv"

Manually fixing CRC Errors
I keep getting CRC errors, despite following the various bits of advice in this thread: http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=3409.0 Usually repeating the download fixes the problem, but that's a waste of bandwidth. So I started experimenting with manually fixing the failed download, and so far...

Help! Frequency of CRC Errors Increasing
After a long stretch where I had very few CRC errors, I'm starting to see them much more frequently. I recently added an Nvidia graphics card - could that be causing the problem? Has my host (NewsDemon) suddenly become more flaky? The problems also started when I upgraded to SAB 0.5.4, but that happ...

Re: Completed Downloads folder resetting to default
Seems odd that the program will reset the folders. Anyone who goes to the trouble of overriding the defaults probably knows what they're doing. Nice trick to set the config file to read only, but that shouldn't be necessary.

Re: Lost history after upgrade to 0.5.2
More strange behavior. I rebooted the computer and now the program is showing the pre-upgrade history, but is not showing history that occurred after the upgrade. I haven't tried any downloads since the reboot but will let you know if they show up in the history.

Re: Lost history after upgrade to 0.5.2
No, I did not uninstall the older version.
Any way of at least restoring the history? The file seems to be there.
Thanks,
GB

Re: Lost history after upgrade to 0.5.2
All I did was shutdown sabnzbd, then download and install the upgrade. If the ini file is lost it's the upgrade that caused it.
I notice there's a history1.db file in the \sabnzbd\admin folder. The data seems to be in there - how can I get the program to read it?
Thanks,
GB

Re: Lost history after upgrade to 0.5.2
Just discovered that other preferences were also not preserved by the upgrade, including servers and folders. Folder settings returned to the default, which is a problem because there is very little disk space on the default drive.

Lost history after upgrade to 0.5.2
I just upgraded to 0.5.2. My pre-upgrade history is no longer available - the history list is empty. Is there any way to get it back?
Thanks,
GB
