Re: NZB v RSS titles

If you setup an RSS feed for nzb.su, how do the titles look in SABnzbd's RSS preview? Like this in the 'matched' list (based on an airdate=2 filter): 3 The.Finder.S01E09.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION 3 Touch.S01E05.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION 3 Awake.S01E07.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION The 'not matched' list i...

NZB v RSS titles

I've recently adopted NZB.SU as my indexer (anticipating the demise of NZBS.ORG). I've set up a list of shows to generate an rss file for SABNZBD. Mostly this works fine, but in two cases this week the item in question was present in the rss file as viewed on NZB.SU's site, but was not picked up by ...

Re: How do I download things posted by specific user with RS

I use WakeupOnStandby to bring my PC out of hibernation at 5.30am (UK timings) each morning. Overnight posts are generally present and correct by then. A little synchronisation with SABNZB's scheduler gets the job done.

Re: How do I download things posted by specific user with RS

NZBIndex's advanced search includes a field for 'poster'. All search parameters can be included in an rss feed.

Re: RSS - Stop x264 Shows

Maybe
Requires: XVID
will achieve the same effect. Failing that, have you tried any other indexers? NZBIndex will let you set up a pretty comprehensive set of filters on the rss feed, including filtering for xvid or excluding x264.

Re: NZBs.Org

Seems to be. For as long as I've been a member (14 months-ish) registrations have never re-opened. To judge by the forums, neither the admin nor the members are keen to open registrations, but there is a new version of the site currently in beta. I suppose that when the new site is completed the que...

Re: Getting a lot of Repair failed, not enough repair blocks

You don't say how old the files were, but given the number I guess that some were quite ancient. I've had this problem - rarely - with Astraweb. Sometimes too many parts of old files go missing to be repaired with the available par files. In my case, I've had no further problems since buying a block...

Re: RSS and scheduler

Don't know if this is obsolete, but have you tried adding '&dl=1' to the rss URL? NZBIndex doesn't include this by default and it always used to be required. I still include it and I use the scheduler (successfully) in the same way, and for the same reason, you describe.

Traffic shaping by your ISP can look like this. What happens if you try downloading late evening?

Re: Help an XNews user migrate over?

I think for you the key is to explore some Usenet indexing sites: once you understand what they do, you'll see the point of SABnzbd. For a site that looks most like XNews, try binsearch.info. Then for a different view, check out nzbindex.com - be sure to try the advanced search. Finally, for a more ...

Re: 1st Day with SABnzbd, small issue with RSS

If you get your rss feed from nzbindex.com you can incorporate a set of default exclusions into the query that generates the feed. Just include -french -german -spanish into the default query. Anyway, whatever feed you use, if you put the language exclusions at the top of SABnzb's filter list you wi...

Re: Newbie.....Speed Problems

20 connections set, virgin say that 50mb users dont get traffic management Whatever Virgin may have said to you, they most definitely do throttle NNTP traffic at certain times of the day - especially in the evening. On their website they say: "At peak times we also slow down the speed of file ...

Set end-of-queue action via command line switch

1) The "already requested" list currently 404s so I haven't checked thoroughly for previous mention of this. 2) A question: if SANZBD is already running, does running it again with different command line parameters invoke the new parameters, or is the run command ignored because SAB is alr...

Re: having trouble with right keywords on RSS feed

I've had this problem and have not so far found a solution. The 'prevent duplicates' switch does not resolve it. The bad news is that some shows sometimes get posted by one poster, sometimes by another, sometimes by both. Filtering on poster risks getting nothing, not filtering risks getting two ver...
