Did you have SSL support before?
Because that was based on pyOpenSSL which includes the cryptography package. Maybe you can try to install that one?

Are you sure that you have the right password/username and server name? They might have changed after the extension.
Make sure the browser is not automatically filling some saved password!

Problem found and fixed.
When unpacking an archive within an archive (like your download) the proper path notation was not used to support the long paths, this is fixed now!

Usually Sunday's are problematic for many servers, because so many people download stuff. So servers get overwhelmed.. It also happens to Astraweb for example.

What happens if you lower the number of connections a little bit?
