Re: Media Rover

It checks your set download folder against shownames from the rss, so it's a dynamic 'watched list'. You only need to specify shows and/or seasons you don't want. It's good in case a show has jumped the shark and you no longer feel compelled to watch after season X. Or If you only have 4 episodes of...

Re: post-processing script not receiving args?

I wasn't able to interpret the documentation any better so I just took your second approach first and since it worked I never even tried to run the py file directly. Seems like I made the right move :D This myepisodes script- if it works in the slightest will be AWESOME. I'm certainly looking forwar...

Re: Media Rover

It's not a pain at all. It just seems that way :)
Really it's a 15 minute process that is very easy. =/

Sorry to have put you off MR

Re: Media Rover

I started on a little (not so much) guide for Media Rover, but I lost motivation for it so I thought I'd just post what I had. This was going to be a nicely detailed FAQ but somewhere it turned into a noob friendly installation guide. I had some hours spare. Anyway, here it is. Maybe it'll help some...

Re: Media Rover

Lockzi, Definitely seems like you arn't using the latest release. I'd urge to to download the very latest like Kierse said, and spend some time configuring. I've had all the issues you mention in the past but they are all fixed. A few points of interest: Sab TV sorting should be off. Make sure to us...

Re: Media Rover

But that leaves us with basically the same as just using the RSS, with the media sorter post-process. Only downloading episodes you don't have is quite different from standard RSS functionality of 'get it if it's new' :P Lockzi, which version were you using when you got the duplicates? I'm not actu...

Re: Media Rover

Wally, I think Kierse does a great job with Media Rover and I also think a GUI is VERY high on 'the list'. i imagine he's been busy. Some people have very busy lives. Heck maybe he's just having a lot of trouble with it. I say this because your post sounds quite impatient and almost irate to me. I d...

Re: 720p and other info to generic sorting

I think this is more of a feature request so this might be the wrong area to post in.

I like this idea though. It seems like something simple enough that some people might be able to use greatly to their advantage.
I can imagine categories of lists in a media catalogging app or media center for one.

Re: Media Rover

Shady, the fauth parameter should work.
Simple copying the rss feed it gives you should be enough.

Re: Media Rover

Why do you index things with passwords? Because things with passwords are posted to usenet, and Newzbin indexes usenet. Once a member (or ten) has downloaded the post and made a site comment letting us know, we modify the report, appending (Passworded) to the title. Usually none of the information ...

Re: Media Rover

How are people dealing with passworded episodes?  My automated process fails. Can you specify no passworded reports in newzbin RSS? I haven't had a single issue yet. I believe (and this is totally without proof) that there will be a tag option in advanced searches soon though. I mean, the tag syste...

Re: Media Rover

One of the things I would like to explore with the new UI (if I ever get the first version done that is) is doing just that: searching for older episodes.  Ideally, I envision searching for existing episodes would be part of the process when adding new series folders via the MR UI.  Someday  Wink K...

Lockzi, here you go. #-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-# # NOTE: Replacing a template variable with its uppercase equivalent # (ie. $(series)s vs $(SERIES)s) will cause Media Rover to output # uppercase data (where relevant).  For example: # #  $(season_episode_...

Re: Media Rover

What are your opinions regarding Media Rover vs the foechoer method?  Am I missing something? Probably :P Otherwise you'd already be using it. MediaRover is most definitely a better option than .. anything else. Your biggest differences will be zero dupes (or.. there abouts, lol) And after the init...
