This happens every single time?

Since we have many users of SABnzbd that use Newshosting, I am thinking more a config error.
Did you maybe set a max Retention for your server? Are you on SABnzbd 1.2.0 or 1.2.1?

Just use the master branch, we only push there in case of a new stable release. Indeed the tags are on develop, without the version set.
The ports system must be able to just wget or curl a file? Not just git tags?

Sabnzbd aborts when it knows it cannot complete because not enough repair blocks are available.
Let's first see if the other client actually produces a working file in the end..

The 1.2.1 RC?

I think I found and fixed the issue, it indeed failed on Retry due to incorrect passing of the password.

Could you maybe try 1.2.1RC1 and see if that fixes it?

So to be clear: it was not detected during download that the download was encrypted and no password was set?
And then when you retry, it fails during Unpack?
What error does it show?

Great, the problem indeed sounded odd!

This message appears when SABnzbd cannot connect to sabnzbd.org, which we use to test the SSL-verification.
So that your downloads are also not starting, probably indicates a problem with the VPN.
What happens when you do a Server-test in the Config while the VPN is on?

Could you maybe see in the log if there's a traceback for that "Saving X failed" and post it here? It's right below the message in the log.
