PS:
- The same perl core dump happens on Ubuntu 7.10.
- I found sendEmail on http://freshmeat.net/projects/sendemail ... _id=188519 and it's 1.55, so I can't get anything newer.

sendEmail.pl causes perl core dump on Ubuntu Linux 8.04 with unresponsive SMTP
Hi, sendEmail.pl causes a *perl* core dump on Ubuntu Linux 8.04 with a unresponsive SMTP server (my guess: if the SMTP does not answer the closing dot in the DATA part of the SMTP session). Logging in SABnzbd: 2008-04-01 22:37:16,415::INFO::[email] Starting email program ['/usr/bin/perl', '/home/san...

Re: license problems in sabznbd+ (0.3.0)
Please note that a Ubuntu package is already available for review (and voting): http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?package=sabnzbdplusjcfp wrote: While attempting to package sabnzbd+ for Ubuntu, I noticed the following copyright and licensing related problems:

Re: BInd to multiple addresses (and ports)
0.0.0.0 works for IPv4, but not for IPv6 like http://[::1]:8080/sabnzbd/queue/
I see CherryPy 3.0 was released on 2006-12-23, so indeed that should contain the mutiple-interface change I linked to.

BInd to multiple addresses (and ports)
Hi, It would be nice if SABnzbdplus could bind to multiple addresses (and maybe ports). That way, SAB would be reachable on all it's IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, i.e. 127.0.0.1, 192.168.1.72, 2001:888:197d::1 and maybe it's host name. I know nothing about CherryPy, but hopefully this gives a solution: h...

Shypike, have you tried www.go6.net; it does *not* use AICCU, so it's worth a try on Vista.

Re: Strange SABnzbd logging after restart after ungraceful SABnzbd stop
"Enable periodic Save" is on Yes, so that can't be the cause. The point is (IMHO): the job "breiers" had been completed 7 hours before the crash. So, apparently, SAB goed back in history? ??? PS: it is not a big deal, as the contents are downloaded OK. It's just a matter of logg...

Strange SABnzbd logging after restart after ungraceful SABnzbd stop
Strange SABnzbd logging at restart after ungraceful SABnzbd stop I see a strange history overview after restart after an ungraceful SAB stop. At 04:33 this morning, a certain download (let's call it "breiers") was complete. I haven't got the history-overview, but it must be normal: the DVD...

ShyPike,
If sixxs takes too long, you can try www.go6.net ; registration + confirmation will only take a minute.

Re: Fairly Minor Bug with non English Accents
As a test, I'm downloading the Fröken-post on my Ubuntu Linux system. I got the NZB from binsearch. If that works, the solution is easy: switch to Ubuntu Linux! :D ... And here's the result: everything works without problems with "Fröken" on SABnzbdplus on Ubuntu. So: switch to Ubuntu! ;-)

@mekong75: My IPv6 and SAB over IPv6 is fully functional; my SAB does all downloads over IPv6.

Re: "Download speed: 0.18 KB/s" because of ... missing articles
The STAT (nntpstat in perl speak) works indeed. I don't know if it gives better speeds. XHDR (and XOVER and XPAT and XROVER) look very interesting: hopefully they will give meta-information in a fast way (as long as the server supports it). xhdr ( HEADER, MESSAGE-SPEC ) Obtain the header field H...

Re: 0.3.0 IPv6 on Vista
The IPV6 modifications to newswrapper.py were made by an outside contributer, who claims that this works on his (Windows) system. If it's based on the patch on http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1496785&group_id=149066&atid=773611 , it does say it's not tested on W...

Re: "Download speed: 0.18 KB/s" because of ... missing articles
To test the HEAD option, I created a perl script that reads a NZB and with the HEAD command checks if the articles exist on the specified newsserver. Example results of such a query: Found: 20760 -- Not Found: 207 Results: Articles found: 20760 Articles not found: 207 End of output Of this post, onl...
