Re: SAB downloads failed due to missing repair blocks & possibility to recover
By the way, you broke the forum rules when you listed those 39 files above. Expect that message to be edited by a moderator. Keep Supernews as the primary server. Don't use the U.S. Blocknews server, use the European one configured as a backup server. Make a new NZB at Binsearch.info with the 13 f...

Re: SAB downloads failed due to missing repair blocks & possibility to recover
I don't mean to confuse you. It isn't necessary to dump Supernews, but you should have a backup server configured as backup. Cheapest account from Usenet-news.net is $2, Blocknews.net $2.75, Astraweb $10. You could even use as a backup 'test.news-service.com' which is free and happens to be up to...

Re: SAB downloads failed due to missing repair blocks & possibility to recover
It would be too much trouble to repair those files (unless you want to find an old linux newsreader that will select, download and decode individual Usenet articles, and use a binary file joiner, and find some way that Quickpar will work in linux, and piece together many broken files one at a time)....

Re: About CRC Errors
The XLned FAQ explains that code 400 errors are returned for attempting too many connections. You have to make sure you're not getting those errors. The XLned 'lite' account allows only 2 simultaneous connections, that's unusual when other providers allow as many as 50. If you have configured 2 c...

Which XLned account do you have, lite/small/basic/plus/gold
Are there any code 400 responses in the log?

Re: Manually fixing CRC Errors
There should be no mystery about a CRC error and no need for a retry feature. Was a QuickCheck bug found or was this a wasted opportunity?

Re: Horrible Completion Rate - Please Help
Newsdemon and other providers in the Highwinds group get hit hard, like Giganews.

hard to guess without knowing details
Take a look at topic 4711 Boards like this have a rule that prohibits getting too specific about what you're trying to download. The SABnzbd+ user in that topic, 'airchie', didn't give up on newsgroups and go back to torrents, but kept asking questions. After a week of discussion and everyone guessi...

Re: Lots of CRC errors on Extractions of Repaired/Verified Packs
I'd love to help but I don't understand how SABnzbd+ works anymore, why it even attempts to unpack files that can't be unpacked.

it's hard to troubleshoot other people's downloads
I really dislike the whole idea of blaming screwed up posts; typically someone will say they can't download something and asks if it's the poster's fault, I give it a try and have no trouble.daemox wrote:It may well be just a ton of shoddy posts

Re: Newbie Needs Help - CRC errors but can unpack manually
So the duplicate NZB file is unrelated to the CRC error. If there really are malformed articles or mangled files in a post I would want the log to show me exactly which ones. The "cannot unpack" CRC errors should not be happening and the failed logins shouldn't be happening either. You can...

posts almost perfect
There's nothing wrong with the post except that the poster's NZB files were posted twice by some mistake. The index site included the duplicate file msg-id's in its NZB. Binsearch warns with red part numbers. When I loaded the indexer's NZB into a different client, that client just dropped the art...

Re: About CRC Errors
Mr. Guitarboy received some suggestions in his old topic #3408 What to do with CRC errors? What type of CRC error, #1, #2, #3, or #4? That must be determined first. This case seems to be #1. After upgrading, make sure Post-Process Only Verified Jobs is turned on. Check possible bad RAM with Memtes...
