Is it possible you downloaded it from somewhere besides the official site? Maybe upload your exe to virustotal (see sander's post) and check to see if it gets flagged. Make sure to tell it to redo the test, not use the pre-existing one.

If the first server was really slow, and adding a second made it go much faster, it sounds like all of your speed is coming from the second server. So maybe set the second as a Primary and the first as a Backup?

I'm not an expert in this, but I'm pretty sure the category tag comes from your indexer, so you can't actually specify it.

I'm not sure about your specific problem, but FWIW, when I had a problem and re-installed my biggest fear was I would lose all my settings and have to start over from scratch. Fortunately, it turned out fine and all my settings were still there.

Almost always those "install codec if it doesn't work" things are fake movies with a virus in the alleged "codec". You should run a virus scan or if you're on Windows do a System Restore to before you installed it.

I don't know if this helps or not, but if File1 isn't available on your primary then it will start to download from your backup, and while that's happening SABnzbd will check to see if File2 is available on your primary, and if it's free it will start downloading simultaneously. If it was SABnzbd corrupting the download then the rars wouldn't be able to extract. Sounds like a media player/codec problem/hard drive issue.

It seems like there's dozens of usenet servers, but there's really only a few backends, and the rest are resellers with different prices and pricing structures. Unfortunately, Newshosting is still a US company, so the European server is just there for speed/efficiency purposes to people in Europe; in theory the actual content is the same. I have had good luck in general with a Tweaknews backup, but have several other fill servers just in case.

DMCA removal. Companies are saying those files are pirated and having them removed from Newshosting. You need a backup account. Block accounts are the easiest way to go, and it's best if you go with a European provider like Tweaknews.
