Re: NZBs.Org

So if there are never new registrations or new members how does the site move forward, get better and advance? I would imagine it gets kind of stale? NZBs.org doesn't depend on user submissions, or any user interaction at all, actually. So usercount has no bearing on how good the content of the sit...

Re: Sicktosab Sabtosick and vice versa...

1) autoProcessTV configuration - Go into sickbeard/autoProcessTV, and set it up. This will consist of telling it how to get to your SickBeard installation, and nothing else, really. 2) SABnzbd configuration - You'll want to make a category called "tv" or whatever, and set the script as sab...

Re: How to integrate client authentication to usenet?

inpheaux - though the front end you could either use the API to get a estimated download time or You could use the Post process script or even connect to the sqlite database directly. Assuming the sab box is on a differnt server so sab wont slow down http processes etc it should be workable It stil...

Re: Is it possible to create a Sabnzbd server for multiple u

I bought a server and i would really like to run Sabnzbd on it, but also want to make it available for my friends. That's easy enough. Just set up SABnzbd, set up an FTP server application, and point your FTP home dir at your SABnzbd completed file directory. Done. Or if you don't want to share eve...

Re: How to integrate client authentication to usenet?

if this user is registered to my web site , he could download the file through usenet This is nowhere near as easy as you think it is, and SABnzbd is probably not the right tool for the job. Technically you could rig it up such that through your website users could blindly queue up NZBs in some cen...

Re: Capped Download speeds?

Also, what's your ISP? Some ISPs have a "speedboost" system where you'll download at a high rate for a short burst, then level out at a slower speed.

Re: Download failed - Out of your server's retention?

Are the messages not clear enough? The articles you're requesting aren't available on your server. One of several things may have happened: 1) The articles never made it to the server in the first place (rare, but it can happen, due to how Usenet is structured) 2) The articles made it to your server...

Those aren't instances, those are threads. htop shows multiple threads as separate lines. So no, this isn't a memory leak.

Re: XS USENET

Some users have been complaining about XSNews since they did the free account promo. As best we can tell, the problem is entirely on their end. It looks like they weren't prepared for the demand that free usenet accounts results in, and are presently completely swamped with incoming connections. Som...

Re: How can I be sure a download is free of malware?

I think I read somewhere that the binaries are much safer than Torrents. True? Why? A Usenet connection can't be eavesdropped on, while Torrents are all by definition spread out amongst a swarm of users with equal visibility. There's still malware regardless of what service you use. Will I get acce...

Re: How can I be sure a download is free of malware?

How can I be sure a download is free of malware and otherwise safe? You can't. You have to hope your anti-malware solution can autodetect stuff. Also, I have the least expensive subscription to Giganews (3.06GB) and 20 connections. Will this inhibit my being able to download? Now that I've looked u...

Re: rss tuning

so my question is.. what can i stick into the filter box to get sabnzbd to download ONE release of a requested TV show and ignore any additional releases that may come out? You can't. Different releases of the same thing will always be considered different to SABnzbd, so dupe detection won't work. ...

When clicking on "View unread posts", there is an option to "Mark forums read" on the top left. Unfortunatly, this url goes to http://forums.sabnzbd.org/ instead of http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?hash=7256d845&mark=forums Known issue. I've tried bringing the variable ne...

Also Giganews / Supernews. Really any major host should do this. If they don't you should complain.
