Re: Media Rover
First of all, thanks for a great program. I just downloaded the latest version and started to receive the following error: 2009-08-21 19:25 ERROR - 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0x99 in position 26: ordinal not in range(128) - __init__.py:106 Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\New...

Re: Media Rover
Anyone tell me how I set MR to run and check for new shows hourly? Im running it on a QNAP nas... Hi geebee, you'll need to create a cronjob. It'll probably look something like the following: 0 * * * * python /path/to/mediarover.py > /dev/null Note: check out http://www.robertplank.com/cron/ for u...

Re: Media Rover
I'm not changing %LOCALAPPDATA% on purpose. I just run: python mediarover.py --write configs and it put a folder called %LOCALAPPDATA% in my mediarover folder. I did try placing it somewhere else as well by using: python mediarover.py --write configs --c "C:\Users\jay\AppData\Local\mediarov...

Re: Media Rover
Yes. The scheduling script runs correctly when the %LOCALAPPDATA% folder is at C:\Users\jay\rover\rover (the default on my computer). It does not run correctly when I put it in C:\Users\jay\APPDATA\Local\mediarover. Hmm, are you changing %LOCALAPPDATA% by chance? If you are and the purpose is to...

Re: Media Rover
Yeah, it still does it. That's really strange. I have the folder where it's supposed to go it just won't put it there. I even tried manually telling mediarover to put the configs in the right location and it does. But then when you run mediarover it says it can't find the config files. Maybe i...

Re: Media Rover
Yup, I am running vista and it ends up exactly like "C:\Users\jay\Downloads\Rover\Rover\%LOCALAPPDATA%". I created a Vista VM and went through the process of getting MR setup and configured. When I ran --write-configs, MR correctly created the configuration directory in the expected loca...

Re: Media Rover
I just pushed a fix for the logging problem. You'll need to regenerate your logging configs - sorry about that :-[ I think the problem lies in that mediarover is putting the configuration files in the mediarover directory under a folder called "%LOCALAPPDATA%". This is by default as I di...

Re: Media Rover
ERROR: configuration directory (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mediarover) does not exist. Do you need to run `C:\Users\jay\Downloads\kierse-mediarover-01399cd2af4113d6ac4dfa537b40c0e7b10ebda4\kierse-mediarover-01399cd2af4113d6ac4dfa537b40c0e7b10ebda4\scripts\sabnzbd_episode_sort.py --write-configs`? Re: Media Rover
Answer - Once I setup the "optional" backup directory (Location where .nzb will be backed up) in SABnzbd and add it to the MR config. My error went away and it is now working. Jivey: I've been trying to replicate your problem without success. Did you make any other changes to your config...

Re: Media Rover
Also, Kierse If you're reading this, Can I ask that the sXXsXX formatted titles have the S and E capitalised? It's a simple thing that annoys me a lot. Done. MR has actually supported this functionality for a while I just hadn't documented it anywhere :-[. To get uppercase data from the template ...

Re: Media Rover
A couple of quick updates: 1. I've updated the Media Rover website (http://mediarover.tv) with an announcements section/page. I'll be posting releases and other important info there first. Check it out! 2. I've tagged Media Rover 0.1.0. It includes all code released up to July 16th. See the offi...

Re: Media Rover
I actually use windows scheduler with a bat file but I also used a program called hidecmd.exe so that every 15 mintues the cmd window doesn't come up. The change to run using pythonw.exe (windowless mode) is fairly straightforward. Here are the steps I sent rollingeyeball 1. open logging.conf (in ...

Re: Media Rover
I agree. I only have one folder for the series in question, however MR makes another folder for the two late night shows with a dot in between the names, "Conan.ORyan". Therefore, you end up with two folders. Very strange. I created a folder called "The Tonight Show with Conan O...

Re: Media Rover
One other thing. If you want mediarover to watch "The Tonight Show with Conan ORyan" you have to put that folder in your tv watched directory. However, when mediarover and the episode_sort.py script are done it places the episode in a folder called "Conan.ORyan" and leaves the...

Re: Media Rover
Another thing. Let me know if its me and if anyone else has been seeing this but I unchecked "don't download the same nzb twice" from SAB and mediarover keeps queueing shows it already downloaded for download. maybe it's because these are "daily" shows? It only redownloads th...
