Re: Best Value Provider
I've been using astraweb for about two months now, zero complaints.

Re: SABnzbd+ on a Router?
Even if you solve the memory footprint problem, wouldn't SAB's need of a fairly decent processor to run par2 almost eliminate any router (unless you wanted 10 to 12 hour par2 rebuilds)?

Re: myNZB
I'd like to see it be able to bookmark Newzbin reports instead of just send them to SAB. Due to my firewall situation, I can't access SAB from outside my LAN, but I can bookmark in Newzbin and have SAB pick it up...

Re: SABNzbd GUI for iPhone
I'd like to see it up on Cydia, mostly for more exposure and hopefully more people working on it. I'd love to be able to use it to browse Newzbin and just bookmark things, so my SAB at home could pick it up and start downloading stuff.

Re: Download speed OSX vs. FreeBSD
Not precisely. Both FreeBSD and Mac OS X can trace their roots to BSD, so they're cousins.lowfi wrote:Isnt osx partly FReeBSD?

Re: Cool stuff with Avahi/Zeroconf and SABnzbd on your LAN (Linux, maybe Mac OS X)
Bonjour is what Apple's implementation of Zeroconf on Mac OS X is called. And yes, it works fine for SABnzbd, as it does for nearly any other app that can accept a non numeric hostname. Interestingly enough, TiVos support Zeroconf as well. I use a few tools to download video from my TiVo Series 2 an...

Re: network folder with os x
Be aware that if for some reason the network volume isn't mounted on the Mac, and sabnzbd goes to write to that network volume, it will actually create a folder with the volume name in /Volumes and stick it in there (it's not a sabnzbd bug, it's how OS X deals with Unix pathnames). I had a network h...

Re: Post processing doesn't seem to work properly - Mac OS 10.5
EDIT: After reverting to the old par2 binary, (only the par2 binary was change, all other settings and preferences remained the same) everything works like it should, files that are corrupt/broken are successfully repaired and unrared. I did the same. 0.4.6 with the included par2 binary failed when...

Re: SABNzbd GUI for iPhone
Just dropped the 99c on MyNZB. Looks good to me. A few little UI grooming is needed, but it's quite functional.
Nice to have a 'legit' app to do this.

Is your Time Capsule also acting as your router? If not, and you have a second router, that might explain why you have two subnets and two sets of distributed IPs.

Re: 0.46 - no shutdown link on iphone skin
While we're on the topic of the iPhone skin -- has anyone else noticed the Pause/Resume command to be far less than 100% reliable? When I tap mine, almost half the time it will not actually pause SAB, but the indicator on the phone will continue to cycle until I close the page or refresh it. Usually...

Re: Post processing doesn't seem to work properly - Mac OS 10.5
I've also been getting more errors unpacking/unparing/etc. in 0.4.6 on Mac OS X 10.5. I chalked it up to some NZBs I downloaded, but when I tried 0.4.5, they processed correctly. Unfortunately I haven't come across any in the past week or so since I've been busy, so I can't produce any exact example...

Re: Any way to see which RSS feed matched a certain file?
Thanks for the fast response, switch. I'll just clean up my Newzbin feeds a bit tighter and see if it re-occurs.
Thankfully I had left for the weekend with SAB only running at 200KB/sec so my media drive didn't get totally filled.

Any way to see which RSS feed matched a certain file?
I was away for a 3 day weekend, and I left SAB running as I normally do. Got home this morning, and found my media drive filled with ~45GB of TV shows that I don't watch at all. SAB was happily downloading a fairly large queue of random TV shows from Newzbin (I think, based on formatting, category m...

Re: XBMC Library Updater
bigdaddy, is your script attempting to update XBMC/Plex? If so, you'll have to make sure it's a true shell script. This is what I use for Plex (Plex is running on my LAN at 192.168.0.20): #!/bin/bash echo "Updating Plex" curl --get "http://192.168.0.20:3000/xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=E...
