Re: Ratings question
If the file says it's a 720p BluRay and it's NOT a 720p BluRay, then you should report it as mislabeled. These are probably better questions for your indexer's forum than the SABnzbd forum. SAB provides the functionality if the indexer supports it, but all the information just goes to your indexer a...

Re: Ratings question
So, even if it is the correct file, but at a lower quality than I desire, it should be a negative, if I understand you correctly. Probably a question for your indexer on how they want that handled. Another question (hey, it says Newbie right under my handle) ... where do the scores in Couchpotato c...

Re: Ratings question
The ratings are for your indexer to help weed out fakes and low quality releases.

SAB Hacks
Hey guys, Today I just happened to stumble on links to two code changes for SAB, one adds some additional server statistics information, and the other adds a hacky version of server priority: Stats: http://pastebin.com/ybhbs3TR Priority: http://pastebin.com/11nWxviV Has anybody installed these befor...

0.8.0Alpha1 & Server Priority
I'm excited to check out 0.8.0, but I was wondering about this point in your Known Issues: "Promised new server priorities (beyond primary/backup) not implemented yet" This is a major factor me, and I suspect others. I was wondering if server priority will be included in the final 0.8.0 re...

Re: Eweka - for European users
Eweka is a Highwinds reseller. There's probably cheaper options:

Re: Suggestions for usenet providers in 2014...
I believe Astraweb has compressed headers. If you get a block account then they count headers against your data, so I'm not sure how long that would last as I have no idea how many mb/gb/tb downloading headers uses up every month. If it's not much, then you can just get a block account. If it's a lo...

Re: Connectivity issue.
FWIW, I just tested with VyprVPN and I can't connect to Giganews with it either, but I can connect to other Usenet providers. Ironic considering VyprVPN and Giganews are the same. Seems like something we should e-mail Giganews support about, but it's not SABnzbd related.

Re: using two usenet accounts?
ssl.astraweb.com and ssl-us.astraweb.com are the same, so you can remove one of those. You need a provider from a different backend than Astraweb. Here's a list of all of them and their backends: https://pay.reddit.com/r/usenet/wiki/providers Essentially you need one from either Highwinds, XS News o...

Re: Connectivity issue.
There's no need for a VPN with Usenet, especially if you make sure to have SSL enabled.
