Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
well everything seems obvious if you have done it before, not having used Linux too much before and never having used git before, it wasn't very obvious, although it is now obvious that you don't upgrade the one you have got bit create a new one with git and then move your config/db over. ::) thank...

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
In fact just tried this again from inside the sickbeard directory and from the .qpkg directory (one below sickbeard) and now I get this error :-
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
any help would be appreciated.

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more

It's in the following location on my QNAP SAN. /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/sickbeard I have ran the command you suggested, putting in the path to...

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Can someone help please ? I have SickBeard installed manually on my QNAP SAN. I noticed people saying that using GIT was a simpler method of keeping SickBeard up to date. I have installed git from the optiware ipkg installer, and it seems that this is all ok, however how do I get git to update my ex...

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Hey guys, just finished reading 45 pages of posts, woa! I deployed SB today and I just wanted to report on a couple of things. First I use nzbmatrix and for some reason it was not finding anything with it, so i enabled the bin-req and well it kept freezing when it sent to sab. Doing a little diggi...

Re: Upgrade Error
Did you overwrite the old installation? If so, remove the old file email.py. We had to rename it to emailer.py, because it obscured Python's standard module. Yes, I overwrote my existing installation, as per your readme, which maybe you ought to change, which says :- *******************************...

You might want to read this first: https://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=4266.0 Just so you don't think I was ignoring your idea of trying the emailer.py for Python 2.4, I tried it and got a similar traceback Traceback (most recent call last): File "sabnzbd.py", line 63, in imp...

Re: Upgrade Error
Right, but I am running Python 2.5.2
Also I am running the same command to launch a tempory copy of the 0.5.2 download and that is firing up with my config/history/settings in it all fine, so why is my old install not able to fire up, it just does not make sense.

Re: SAB & Sick Beard Mini Box Recomendations
I have a QNAP 659 Pro, I would seriously recommend anyone look at the QNAP range of NAS/SAN units, I just cannot fault it.
