Witch NAS fore sabnzbd?

Post by BazZerg »

Hi. I am looking for a NAS server, and would like to ask you guys witch you would recommend and why.

Need to have:
Naturally, support for sabnzbd (and sufficient CPU/RAM to run it nicely).
Support for minimum 4 discs with 2 Gig each (total of minimum 8 Gig).
JOBD & RAID 0/1/5.
FTP Server.
DLNA Media Server.
Must be reliably as hell.
Web management (of NAS)
File management (upload/download/move/delete/etc.) via web interface.
Support for file sharing via NFS and/or SAMBA.

Nice to have:
2 x 1 Gig Ethernet (with trunking capability).
DFS.
Some kind of encryption capability.

Thanks in advance.

Hi wimpie1

I ware looking more in the direction of a finished NAS like, D-link, LaCie, Synology and so forth. Unless I missed something in the link you posted, it describes making you one server from spare parts.

But thanks for your input.

True, this is something you build yourself.

Look at http://www.smallnetbuilder.com for reviews of NAS-appliances.
