Feature Request

Post by MeNotU »

I'm not sure where to put this, there is no feature request discussion so I'll ask here.

First off I'd like to say say I love SABnzbd. Kudos to the developers.

I have three locations I use on my NAS. One for the downloading and processing, one for short term storage and one for long term. After processing, all downloads are moved to the short term drive and I'll either delete them or move them to long term if I want to keep them. Every now and then, my short term drive will get full, and SABnzbd processing will fail due to this. Would it be possible to add either a 'Retry' button like there is when the download fails or a 'Reprocess' button on process failures to have SABnzbd reprocess the file instead of me having to rename and move the file manually? This gets quite tedious if I don't pay attention and get several files behind.

Edit: Yeah, I'm an idiot. Now I see the feature request discussion.

This happens during the post processing when trying to move the file to the final destination. Since there's no room it leaves the file in the Completed Download Folder and displays 'Processing failed for ....' in the info column.

Could you maybe send your log (in the Status window click Show logging) to [email protected]?

My log file is over 50,000 lines long and goes back to 2014. Anything in particular you want? I do notice that it skips some days, including the days my destination drive was full. It jumps from 12/4 to 12/13 for some reason. Also, I was running an oder version (0.7somthing) and updated to 1.1.1 after the above screen capture. The buttons haven't changed though.

That's a problem. For some reason there's a gap from 12/4 to 12/13 in the log and the disk was full on the 12'th. This isn't a bug report though, it's a feature request. My destination drive was full during post processing and SABnzbd couldn't move the unpacked file where it needed to go. What I'm asking for is a 'Retry' or 'Reprocess' button so I don't have to manually rename and move the files after I clean up some space.

A quick scan of my logfile I see the vast majority of errors for the past year are '[downloader:528] Failed login for server free.xsusenet.com:119', with a few 'Too many connections to...' here and there. I'm not sure why there's a gap from the 4th to the 13th, there were two successful processings on the 8th before the third, when the file was full. and the logfile takes up again when I shutdown to upgrade to 1.1.1 on the 13th.
