SABnzbd Forums

Hi everyone,

I am a MacUser and I am running the latest version of sabnzb however I was getting inconsistent bandwidth speed when downloading. I changed the port number to 563 which I was told would be better but now I cannot even access it. I have tried to reinstall and download but it doesn't even open please help

You mixed some things up, there is the SABnzbd Port which is where you see the interface, then there is also the Newsserver Port from which you download.
The port that you changed was just to see the interface, unrelated to downloads.
You need to manually edit your config file (after shutting down SABnzbd) to get it to work.
Locate your sabnzbd.ini file (see: https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/advanced/directory-setup) and then find the line:
port = 563
Replace it by:
port = 8080
Save the file and restart SABnzbd.
