Download via interface

Post by ziimen »

Anyone knows if the sabnzbd app itself or a 3rd party plugin can enable download of the downloaded content via web gui?

What I mean is once the content is downloaded and shows checked in the list of the downloaded content in the web gui, is it possible to now download (copy really) that content to the local drive via said gui? ... as opposed to accessing the disk that is backing sabnzbd's downloads etc.

Thx!

What you are probably looking for are programs like Sonarr and Radarr, Maybe take a look here: https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/extensions-for-sabnzbd
Many programs can do stuff when SAB is done :)

Maybe, will read up on those. Thanks for pointing me to the extensions page. The easiest would probably be if sabnzbd hyperlinked the downloaded content in the history list :)

Unfortunately it can't, since browsers won't allow you to link to local files for obvious security reasons :)

It wouldn't be local files really as sabnzbd runs as a server. Sabnzbd can link any files from its own app space (on the server, where it downloads them) and provide them as downloadable streams on its own pages, via hyperlinked actions. Much like lots of web applications provide linked documents or any content.

But, yea, I understand, as it is sabnzbd can't do that .. it would be somewhat of an extension or a fork :)

Thanks !
