Is it just me or is post processing taking ages now? I think it might be connected to this in the changelog:

If unpacked files contain .par2 files they will always be read and used to rename any matching files.

Is this really necessary in all cases? It takes 15 minutes+ now to finish a downloaded tv show.
Is there an option to disable this?

Yes you can disable it, but it to help us diagnose the problem, could you first enable Debug logging in the Status window and then after it happens again click Show Logging in the Status window and then send the logs to me at [email protected]?

The actual par2 repair however isn't changed, it's handle by an external program. That one was also updated, so with your logs we can see where the problem is and fix it
