Hi,
It seems that after a Windows 10 upgrade, the default download location, as in %userprofile%\My Documents\Downloads, gets weird NTFS permissions, which prevents Sab which is running as the user from writing anything.
Maybe it's time to switch to %userprofile%\Downloads or %userprofile%\Downloads\SABnzbd as the default base download folder.
Unless we still actually care about Windows 2000/Windows XP.
%userprofile%\Downloads was introduced in Windows Vista, so it's been around for quite some time.
This would be something to change starting with 0.8.0.

Re: Permission issues with Windows 10
It already defaults to %userprofile%\Downloads, but not for for existing users.
I guess it's time to force it to that folder, at least on Win10.

Re: Permission issues with Windows 10
Did some testing.
It should already work for 0.8.0Alpha3
The root folder goes from c:\users\user\documents to c:\users\user
That means that c:\users\user\downloads is used on all versions of Windows.
Not sure about XP, but we don't really support that any longer.
