3.0.0RC1 issue with scan watched folder

Running on Mint 20 Cinnamon.
When I click on Scan watched folder, it ONLY reads the top folder not any sub-folders.
I have my watched folder set with separate folders for different categories, this works fine automatically, scans are done and the sub-folders read. But when I click on Scan it only seems to read the source folder not the sub ones.
Tried:
put nzb in sub folder and click read - nothing
move nzb to watched folder click read - imports nzb
