060B3 Duplicates added as orphaned jobs

Post by ErikBrown »

SABnzbd 0.6 B3
Windows XP SP3
Simple Black
No firewall

In the previous beta of 0.6 duplicates were added to the download queue but in paused mode. Now duplicates are not added to the queue but shown as orphaned jobs. In my opinion the previous way of adding them to the queue properly marked as duplicate and paused was ideal since it was directly clear that these duplicates were there. Now you have to go to the Warnings section. The issue with that is that you might not realize that the duplicates are there and not notice them. But when they are added to the queue, you will directly notice them and deal with them.

I hope you will re-consider and add duplicates again back to the queue. In my opinion it was actually a very useful new feature.

Hi pair of dimes,

Thanks for the reply. I had not noticed this new switch but it worked indeed as you mentioned.

However, the "Ignore" (or rather "Discard") option should not create orphans.
I'll look into it.
