Keep getting [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer

Post by larry29936 »

I just installed sabnzbd and I'm trying to connect to my usenet server. Every time I test the server, I get " [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer". Can anyone provide some guidance as to what I'm doing wrong? Running Linux Mint 18.1 and Chromium browser.

Thanks in advance.

which newsserver? what kind of connections: SSL, port, etc?

On what kind of netwerk are you?
Is there a firewall?

what does sabnzbd.log say? Is there a traceback?

server.usenet.nl is not a valid host name / address, so it is not a newserver address

Do you have an account at usenet.nl? Did you get a mail with their newsserver settings?

Their faq says:

Newsserver: power.usenet.nl
Newsserver: eco.usenet.nl
