Cannot keep a steady speed during download

Post by myth512 »

I had version .5.1 rc1 on for a while without a problem. Download speed stayed at 1.4 MBps. Recently I decided to use apt-get to update to .5.2. Now when I download the speed fluctuates. IT will go up to 1.1MBps and down to .2MBps and over and over again.

I have tried completely uninstalling it along with the dependencies and reinstalling many times, nothing changes. I rechecked firewall settings, article cache, and download limit. I used alt.binz on my windows pc and it stayed steady. This is on a xbmc-live install.

I would go back to an older version but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have any ideas to get back to a steady top speed?

Ok figured it out. I just needed to use a fresh sabnzbd.ini file. My old one with all my settings must have had something funky in it from the last version.

Any chance that you kept the suspected INI file?
BTW: it's much more likely that your cache folder had a problem.
Did you wipe that too?

Yes every time I started new I kept the old ini file with all my rss stuff. I also wiped the cache folder. All I needed to do was create a new ini file. I still have the old ini file. Here it is:
(I removed my passwords and api key)

Nothing wrong in the INI.
My guess is that it was your cache.
You could try with the old INI again :)
