Wich port SABnzbd+ use to transfer the downloaded files to a network storage?

Post by €xc@£ibur »

Version: 0.4.4
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
Install-type:Windows zip
Skin (if applicable):  Default
Firewall Software:  None
Are you using IPV6? Do'nt know  :-[
Is the issue reproducible? I don't understand what this mean  :-[

I want to store the unpacked files on a small NAS storage.

Problem: I have a hardware firewall with 2 different ranges of IP's.
IP of the XP= 192.168.7.10
IP of the NAS= 192.168.5.25

When i put the pad of the folder from the NAS ( \\192.168.5.25\downloads ) then there i get an error:

Incorrect parameter
Error: cannot create complete_dir directory "\\192.168.5.25\downloads".

On the moment that i save the configuration of this pad i see in the logging of my firewall that SABnzbd+ is trying to get true ports 80, 139 and 445.

My question is: wich port SABnzbd+ use to transfer the downloaded files to a network storage?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Port 80 is for all http connections (rss, newzbin, nzb link, etc.)
139 and 445 are for file sharing (netbios and smb, i think...)

Hope it helps

Ports have nothing to do with network paths.
There must be something wrong with the path "\\192.168.5.25\downloads" you use
or with the access rights to it.
First test with the Windows Explorer to see whether you have proper access to this path.

Windows and the NAS use ports to communicate with each other about the share , but this is
completely invisible for SABnzbd. For SABnzbd it's just a path, it doesn't care where it's located.

Thank you for the reply. I will ask my friend to open these ports in my hardware firewall.

Thank you for the reply.

In the case that the NAS and the computer with SABnzbd+ are in the same network then you are correct. But in my case there are 2 different local networks. That's why i putted the IP's on the board:

IP of the XP= 192.168.7.10
IP of the NAS= 192.168.5.25

You see it is a different range because my firewall can splitt all incoming traffic in 2 different local networks. These 2 local networks are  completely separated from eachother. I hope that it is clear now.

I will open the ports 139 and 445 and see if it then works.

By the way: thnx for the new RC2 release.  8)

Hello,

I want to make a update: true the fact that the downloadcomputer and the NAS are not in the same network there must be opened ports in the (hardware) firewall.  :-[

So problem solved. It's working now  ;)

Everybody thank you for thinking about my problem and this downloadtool is really the best!  8)
