Can't download - "Error - Too Many Connections"

For the last few days I haven't been able to download anything and always get an error saying I have too many connections. Regardless of which index site I use, I get the same error. I haven't made any changes or updated SAB in the last few days so I have no idea what is happening. I've read the FAQ and searched the forums and can't find anything that even relates to the same issue. If someone could help me figure out where to start or help me understand what's going on, that would be much appreciated.

AFAIK, *index sites* will not cause a "Error - Too Many Connections".

Only newsservers will generate "Error - Too Many Connections".

So please be precise.

Sorry, may have used the wrong term. I've used nzbclub.com for a few years with no issues until now. I've also used sites like binserach.info and nzbindex.nl with no issue. Now regardless of where I get the nzb files from, "Error - Too Many Connections" is what I see when I check the "Status" tab.

Even so, the message comes from your Usenet provider.
It has nothing to do with indexing sites.
You need to lower the amount of connections set in Config->Servers.

The full line will show the newsserver, for example:

So, as Shypike says, lower the number of connections to the newsserver.

Sander,

That's is the error I'm getting. I've lowered my connections down to 1, but still receiving the error. So I'm assuming this is an issue that I will need to contact my usenet provider?

I'm using newsgroupdirect if that makes a difference. The plan I have includes unlimited connections as well as an SSL connection, so I'm a bit confused as to why this is happening now.

Before calling your usenet provider, you could do this:
Set SABnzbd Logging to +Debug
Start downloading again.
If/When you get the error again, open Logging, and you should find the line "Server login problem:". Post the full line here.

Some servers ignore or don't like the client side breaking connections.
Try with this option off: Config->Switches->"Disconnect on Empty Queue"

I don't see any Debug info in your logging, so this does not help.
Are you aware you're posting a logging of 6 days ago?

I'm sorry if I'm not including the correct log. I followed what you explained to do and this is part of the result (entire file is too big to posted) and this is the information that is provided). Hopefully this is the right information, if not any help understanding the correct log would be appreciated.

I'm quite sure that that means you have defined at least 41 connections to news-ssl.newsgroupdirect.com. Not 1 as you said.

And that explains "Error - Too Many Connections"

Sorry I wasn't more specific, but I had changed the number of connections to several different numbers, but 41 was not a number I used. Would you like me to change it to one and run another log?

If you have an unlimited connection account than 41, 14, 20, 1 .... whatever .... should work. You only need to use the number of connections that would saturate your download bandwidth.
