Crashes?

Post by yuppicide »

SABNZBD 0.8.0 Alpha 1
Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit
16GB memory
4Ghz 8 Core processor
Chrome

I was using Alpha 1. It crashes. Like I'll leave it on, it downloads my files fast because I'm on 105Mbps internet, but let's say I don't close it and go to watch one of the tv shows I just downloaded or I go take a shower or run to the store.. I'll come back and have the following message in Chrome:

"Something went wrong while displaying this webpage. Closing the apps and tabs that you don't need may help by making more memory available."

I only have 2 tabs open and two other apps.. Teamspeak and I was also watching a movie. I was using about 3GB of memory Windows said.

So I upgraded to Alpha 3.. same problem.

There are problems with Chrome and memory usage in combination with some sites.
It primarily a Chrome problem, none of the other browsers behave that way.
One thing that may reduce problems is to use a slower refresh ("options" top right).

By the way, still running Alpha 3, but changed the refresh rate. I've not had a crash since. Thanks!

I was experiencing the same problem. Recently upgraded to Windows 10, starting having problems with high CPU usage and lots of Chrome crashes. I isolated the problem to SABnzbd (0.7.20). Changing the refresh rate from the default 4 sec to 30 sec seems to fix the problem with CPU usage. I'll let you know if it helps with Chrome crashing.

Running SAB in the Edge browser also works to keep CPU usage low, but I prefer to have everything together in Chrome.

I have enabled API integration with NZB.su. I don't know if that is a factor.
