Setting up on a remote computer

Post by kithoo »

I'm on a metered connection where I live (thanks Comcast). I have a family member who is not. I was going to set up sabnzbd on a computer in their home and use to to get around my ridiculous cap and avoid ridiculous overage charges. Obviously, they would be made aware of this (and wouldn't care). How complex would this be to set up using something like noip or a similar service? I'm moderately competent at getting these things running, but don't really want to have to go through setting up an actual webserver as well. I am pretty certain that I should be able to access the web interface from the noip DNS and add nzbs that way. Am I way off base in thinking it's that simple?
