trouble setting up a secondary/ back up server

Hi
Having trouble setting up a secondary/ back up server. My secondary is a bulk block account , could that be the problem
get error code from host at 9090: unable to get authorization 502 error

Thanks for any help or info

This might be obvious, but are you absolutely sure your username and password are correct?

Are you sure the port is correct? I never saw a usenetserver that used port 9090, it's always 119 (no-SSL) or 563 (SSL).
