Postprocessing fails, I don't know why, since update to 1.0

Hi,

all my jobs seem to fail when sabnzbd tries to unpar the files to my destination folder. After a job is finished, the files are in the TEMP folder, and when I manually download the PAR2-files (which are deleted unfortunately), I can repair them manually. But why does the automatic repair/Moiving not work?

That's a Unicode error, and that was indeed introduced with SABnzbd 1.0.0

Does this really happen to ALL downloads? Also if you pick a NZB from https://usenet.farm/nzb/ ?

Can you provide a pointer to such a NZB?

It seems not to be related to the name of the nzb file. As far as I can see, it also happens if I rename a NZB file to "1.nzb".

The file gets downloaded, but not unrared or par2-ed, and it is not moved to my destination folder. So somewhere in the queue, this fails. And yes, it used to work with my previous installation of sabnzbd, and as far as I can tell, all my nzbs are affected, at least thos that need to be unzipped or where par2 files exist.

The log is not very intuitive to read, I cannot exactly tell what actually fails. Any clues?

I am currently trying several files, some work, some don't, but most don't, although many files are password-protected, and the passwords have all kinds of characters included. Is there any better logging level that could provide more detials? The only solution I could think of so far is going back to an older sabnzbd version...

Downloading the NZB you PM'ed was no problem for my SABnzbd 1.0.0 on Linux.

So there is not a problem per-sé with this NZB. It could be something with SAB-on-Windows, unrar on Windows, or your (German?) Windows setup.

Is there an archive where I can download older versions of Sabnzbd? Since I cannot see a way of getting useful logging information that helps locate the exact source of the problem, I probably will step back :(

Before you go back to old version, could you switch logging to +Debug (in the Status window/screen), it is now set to +Info.
And then download 1 of the failing files? Maybe this can help us locate the source!

You said you were on Windows server 2003, this one has given us more problems before.. It seems to do some special things in file-handeling.
Have to also add that Server 2003 is 13 years old this month and already a year unsupported by Microsoft..
