Speedlimit scheduling confusion

Post by bbaraniec »

Hi,

Recently I have problem with scheduling proper speedlimit after WAN upgrade.
For last two years I had following setup:
75Mbit/s which is 9600KB/s which is 9,375MB/s
In SAB settings maximum line speed was set to 9M (help say Bytes/second, so it was 9MB/s)
I had working scheduling everyday at 2AM set speedlimit to 9MB/s (9216KB/s) and everyday at 8AM back to 7MB (7168 KB/s). So even during 2AM and 8AM I had 0,375MB (384KB/s) not consumed by SAB.

Few days ago, my line was upgraded to 100Mbit/s which 12800KB/s which is 12,5MB/s.
In SAB settings maximum line speed is set to 12M (should be 12MB/s right?)
Schedule is again 2AM go 12MB/s (12288KB/s) and 8AM 10MB/s (10240KB/s).
The problem is that at 2AM speed will be set to 12KB/s:

SABnzb version 1.1.0 [8abcf08] running on Mac OS X Yosemit 10.10.5. There were no changes in OS or SAB except adjusting maximum line speed. Any ideas?

During download I can use the slider to increase the speed, sometimes it will work sometimes scheduled setting will pop right back. Clicking the chain icon next to slider and removing limitation always works.

You should add "K", "M" or "G" to your numbers.
This was changed several releases ago.
The previous method of assuming "K" was a bit odd.
So 12M is 12MBytes/sec

Alright. I have added "M" to my numbers and it seems to be working now. Thanks for help Shypike.
