Why can't I set HOST to LOCALHOST or 127.0.0.1?

Post by seanvree81 »

Windows 10E
Sabnzbd ver: 1.2.2 [555d841] (running as windows server sabnzbd-servce.exe)
Python 2.7.13

So I've had Sabnzbd running on my actual ip x.x.x.20 , however, that IP how now changed, so I went to the webui and tried to change it to both LOCALHOST, 0.0.0.0, and 127.0.0.1, but no matter what I do, after I restart, it goes back to x.20?

I've also tried to edit the sabnzbd.ini file directly, but again, as soon as the application restarts, it changes back.

Is this by design or am I doing something wrong?

Hey @Safihre ,

I changed my listening host to 0.0.0.0, but now when I have HTTPs enabled, the service crashes. If I disable the service, then manually disable HTTPS in the sabnzbd.ini file, then the service will launch but without SSL.

Running on:
Windows 10E
Sabnzbd ver: 1.2.2 [555d841]
Python: 2.7.13 (v2.7.13:a06454b1afa1, Dec 17 2016, 20:42:59

Any idea what's up?

Here's the logs:

Thats strange, for some reason it's ignoring us telling it not to use PyOpenSSL.
Will put this on the bug list, have to investigate.

Actually, can you try for me in Config > Specials, verify that ipv6_hosting is turned off? (unchecked)

@safihire,

It's actually turned on (checked) but it's always worked before?

Should I have that unchecked?

We haven't had any other reports about it..
I also don't have a proper IPv6 setup to test, which makes it difficult..

We found the problem.
Should be fixed in 1.2.3.
