QSabNZBdPlus v2.2.1 repair errors

Post by threeonesix »

Version: 2.2.1
OS: QTS 4.3.3.0262 Build 20170727
Install-type: NAS package
Skin (if applicable): N/A
Firewall Software: none (hardware Sonicwall firewall)
Are you using IPV6? no
Is the issue reproducible? yes, sort of

Ever since upgrading QSabNZBdPlus on 2017-08-30 any collections I download that need repairing fail to repair, reporting "Repairing failed, [Errno 2] No such file or directory". When I copy the collections to my PC QuickPar is able to repair the collection and then WinRAR is able to extract the file(s). This problem began only 3 days ago after upgrading. Never had any trouble like this for years with the QNAP version. Is this perhaps a bug? Is there any way for me to regress to the previous version?

What if you let SABnzbd on your Windows download it? So without Quickpar.

It seems the par2 program is malfunctioning or completely missing.
Could you reinstall the package? Or try the other package that is listed on our website? The Sherpa installer.

Tried it on Windows and it worked fine with the repair. I did notice that it said something about "Direct Unpacking enabled ... only works for jobs that do not need repair". Not sure if that has anything to do with this but maybe the QNAP is trying to unpack collections that do need repair?

It seems that Removing and re-installing removed all of my settings. Is there any way to get those back easily or do I just have to re-configure from scratch? That's going to take a while.

After reinstalling and adding a usenet server I see this error message on the home screen: " par2 binary... NOT found!" I'll have to try the Sherpa installer next.

This is unfortunate, I would have expected the settings to be preserved.
We don't make these packages, so maybe it's better to ask in the Sherpa forum thread for assistance?

No problem, I can live with the issue as there is a workaround. I'm sure a fix will be along soon enough. Thank you for taking the time to help!
