sabnzdb has decided (today), that it should open parallels desktop whenever i use the menubar controls (ie queue). Has worked fine up to now. Why?

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

I think this probably is setup somewhere in that software? We don't include any links to it
It's a macOS app, so no reasons why it should link to that.
Maybe a simple restart will do the trick?
