Setup Sabnzbd

Post by huffman »

I am able to input the server information, user name and password.
Then I get stuck. I see no way to tell Sabnzbd where to download files to and where the nzb's are so that I can download from the nzb..

I can use some help. Pictures would help. Thanks you

On the main page of SABnzbd, there is the big grey area that says "Add NZB".
You can click there and it will let you either choose an URL, or you can select the NZB file (via Browse) to add to the Queue.
After it is added, SABnzbd will start downloading!

The cogwheel at the top right.
Go to Servers and enter the login data for your Usenet subscription.
You need a Usenet subscription to download.
There are hardly any usable free servers (somewhere between zero and none).

Wish I could show you picture of what see. I think I have my server setup in Sabnzbd. When I go to folder tab,, it does not let me browse to the folder I want. How do I tell it which folders to use; I don't want to use defauts.
I think I loaded an nzb, but have no idea how to start the download. I need to know this.

I have taken some screen shots I want someone to see. How do I upload them into this post?

OK I uploaded 3 images. The first showed when Sabnzbd is first opened. The second image the Folders Tab and the Browse buttons. The third image shows after clicking one of the Browse buttons. On image three, I don't see how to browse. Maybe I could just paste the path in. That I am not sure about. I need to know how to browse because I really do not like those default folders.

I am 99% sure I have an nzb loaded in Sabnzbd but I see no way to start the down load..

OH and BTW when is the Chat function here monitored. I have tried it a few times and I have never seen anyone there. ;)

I put all the image links in one folder. Not sure that is good or bad but now it seems to work.

I think now I have it going. It took some gyrations but it finally downloaded 4 of the 6 files that were in the Incomplete folder. I think the other two nzb(s) were not longer on my server.

I do have a couple more questions just for my benefit.
Is there anyway to clear history in Sabnzbd?
When I have more nzb(s) should I put them into the Incomplete Folder? IF I do that then it should start the downloads as soon as I open Sabnzbd?

Thanks for all the help.

I just had a chat and the tech there had me put in a delay. I am not sure why. She said that usenet is very unreliable anyway but I have not found that to be true in the past.
I have had a hard time get an to this.
When I download an nzb should I put it in the "Incomplete" folder?
