Help with installing it on Ubuntu

I run Ubuntu, Linux (actually Unix), there is nothing that tells me what to do or how to install it on Unix, there is one file, a text file under Linux, but that doesn''t help on how to get it running, I have SABnzbd-2.3.4.tar and I unloaded it, now I just have a directory with a bunch of files in it that don't make sense to me, a lot of people use Linux, much better than Windows, Max I don't know anthing about

Thank you now I have sabnzbdplus installed, and I signed up with Giganews, but when I start sabnzbdplus, I don't see a thing, so I don't know what to look for or even what I am seeing

OK, how do I get it to use a different browser, every time it starts up it uses Firefox which is OK, but I'm used to Chrome from Google
