Alright, I am stuck.. I have been fighting with this for a few days trying to track down the issue..
I am running QSabNZBdPlus on my QNAP TS-869, installed from the QNAP Club App store. Currently 4.3.4.0597
I wasn't able to access the web interface.... I uninstalled all of the add-on apps installed, and cleared their leftover files in hidden directories
reinstalled Entware-3x-std, QGit, Par2cmdline, QPython3 (3.6.0), I tried 2.7 as well. After I installed QSabNZBdPlus again I realized it is only listening on IPv4 IPs.. Not IPv6. Confirmed with netstat -nl, this is how I verified it isn't a firewall rule, but rather it just isn't listening.
I set 'host' in nthe graphical config to :: rather than 0.0.0.0, and it is reset back after sabnzbd restarts. Same thing happens if I edit config.ini directly.
I checked and unchecked the various 'Special' options for IPv6 and still no effect. It simply won't start IPv6 IPs and I can't figure out why. Any suggestions on where to look?

Re: QSabNZBdPlus Not Listening on IPv6 IPs
Hi and welcome to the forum.
I'm unable to comment on your actual issue regarding IPv6 as I've never used it. Hopefully, someone here can assist further.
Have you tried sherpa?
Please note: for @QNAP_Stephane's SAB packages, you won’t need Entware (unrequired for this package), Par2cmdline (built into this package), or QPython3 (SAB is currently compatible with Python 2.7.x only)

Thank you for the welcome. Better than some communities I've joined. I wanted to ask you if you had any tips for installing/running Stretch on the x69 QNAPs... The referenced install guide URL is dead. That is in the future though, regardless, wanted to try myself first.OneCD wrote: ↑July 10th, 2018, 5:22 pm Hi and welcome to the forum.

I wondered about them being built into the package, Python was still showing 2.7 references in some places after I removed the packages, but I also saw another page that said they were needed.. I figured worst case, they would be there and not used..
I have used your sherpa script in the past for a long time, I stopped using it because of some bugs but I don't remember what they were now.
Had to remove the sherpa link from the quote as I can't post links yet..
Re: QSabNZBdPlus Not Listening on IPv6 IPs
Not much, it's just like installing to a PC. Put the bootloader on the DOM, then Debian on your RAID.
Confusingly, QTS also ships with Python 2.7.5 by default.
If you install one of the QNAP Python QPKGS, then you'll have 2 versions.
If you install QPython as well - now you're up to 3.
And if you install Entware then install Python though it, you'll now have 4 Pythons on a single NAS.
I can only fix the bugs I know about. Which means the community need to let me know about them.

Re: QSabNZBdPlus Not Listening on IPv6 IPs
I was thinking about putting in a bigger DOM
One can never have enough Python? Also better than having 4 versions of Java installed, even one is too many (sorry, I really don't like Java)OneCD wrote: ↑July 10th, 2018, 9:01 pm Confusingly, QTS also ships with Python 2.7.5 by default.

I didn't know it was shipped with Python, figured that is why the App package was there

Otherwise, sometimes they are all needed because applications go looking in different places for it.
par2cmdline is needed though. Without it being installed from the 'store' QSabNZBdPlus throws errors about it being missing
Fair enough. I am going to try the sherpa script again tonight, see if that helps.. If it persists, I'll rollback the OS a version or two and see what happens.. Hopefully it doesn't result in needing to restore TBs from online backups.. :|
Re: QSabNZBdPlus Not Listening on IPv6 IPs
So sherpa didn't install..
Code: Select all
[ proc ] downloading QPKG (Par2_0.7.4.0_x86_64.qpkg.zip) ...
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- 0:03:01 --:--:-- 0curl: (56) Recv failure: Connection reset by peer
md5sum: can't open '/share/Public/sherpa.tmp/qpkg-downloads/Par2_0.7.4.0_x86_64.qpkg.zip': No such file or directory
[ fail ] Downloaded QPKG checksum incorrect (Par2_0.7.4.0_x86_64.qpkg.zip) [0]
I removed those two options and after editing config.ini to set host = ::, I restarted it (observation, Stop fails), it is running as expected now. Proper ports, IPv4 and IPv6.
I think the kill portion of the init.d script has a typo, but before I look at fixing it, I thought SABnzbd had a graceful stop command?
Re: QSabNZBdPlus Not Listening on IPv6 IPs
Note that you don't install sherpa. It's only a script that installs other packages.kevinds wrote: ↑July 11th, 2018, 2:39 amSo sherpa didn't install..

The error indicated points to a temporary condition. To diagnose this on your NAS, I need the full sherpa debug log - a partial log only shows an error occurred but tells me nothing of your configuration.
However, as you've now installed QSAB, there's not much point. You'd need to be prepared to run the sherpa installer script again, which would remove QSAB.

A check you could perform would be to try downloading that package manually:
You won't need to do anything else with it - just try downloading it.
Code: Select all
curl --output /share/Public/test.zip http://www.qoolbox.fr/Par2_0.7.4.0_x86_64.qpkg.zip

Re: QSabNZBdPlus Not Listening on IPv6 IPs
Are you using any automated content-blocking on your gateway device? Do you access the Internet via a proxy?
Can you try this one please? It will fail too, but should show a bit more info. It will also only try to connect to the remote IPv4 address:
