Error while downloading. Is the file too old?

I didn't use sabnzbd for quite a while and just recently signed up for a new usenet account at usenetbucket.com. So I started to download different things, mostly movies and series. The problem is, on almost all of them I get the error

Code: Select all

Error while downloading. Is the file too old?
after downloading it. It's 90% of the files I try to download, so there must be something wrong.

What could be the problem? Is something wrong with my setup? I didn't change anything since I last downloaded (2 years ago or so), just my usenet account is a different one, which seems to work fine however. I don't have any idea what's the problem here, can someone help me?

Is that really the error you get?
Are you on SABnzbd 2.3.5?

In any case, nowadays everything gets DMCA'd quite quickly, so you need a good indexer and maybe some automation (Sonarr/Radarr) to handle automatic trying of releases for you.

Yes, this is exactly the error I get. Well it's in German, but it should translate to this.

I just noticed that I use quite an old version, 0.7.20. Could that be a problem?

Yes that could definitely be a problem.
There's many new download-hiding techniques (obfuscation) that the old one can't handle.
Upgrade first (see our Wiki > Installation).
