Slow downlead speed after harddisk change

Post by Jan0112 »

Hi.

I hope that someone could help with this problem.
I had a harddisk change in my Imac.
After this change, my download speed has dropped from 50 - 60 Mb/s to 7 Mb/s.
Would anyone have an idea what I can do to get back to the normal download speed?

Well. that is it: fast.com reports in Mbps (bits), and 90 Mbps is about 10 MB/s (bytes), which SAB reports. So that matches (order of magnitude).

If you think 90 Mbps is not correct (what is your ISP speed ...?), solve that. Hint: 90 Mbps looks like 100 Mbps, which is the speed of fast ethernet (not gigabit ethernet). So: cable, network switch.

You are correct. It helped to reboot the router. Thanks a lot.
