rss wont start automatically.

Post by duffer99 »

Greetings oh wise ones,

I must be a moron. I have an rss feed to read my nzbgeek cart. I have the checking interval set to 15 minutes. I have nothing enabled in my schedullding. The read time comes and goes. Nothing happens. If I click on read feeds, it reads my cart and starts dl'ing. Not sure what to do.. Help would be most appreciated.

Mike.

set SAB's logging to +Debug, wait 20 minutes, and check sabnzbd.log for lines like:

Code: Select all

020-07-13 06:18:22,158::INFO::[rss:558] Starting scheduled RSS read-out for "DS
2020-07-13 06:18:22,159::DEBUG::[rss:286] Running feedparser on https://drunkens
2020-07-13 06:18:22,419::DEBUG::[rss:288] Done parsing https://drunkenslug.com/r

2020-07-13 06:18:37,452::INFO::[rss:574] Finished scheduled RSS read-outs

I have nothing like that in my logs. There is nothing in [] that says rss anything. Restarted several times. Deleted and recreated the feed. Crickets...

Then I would say: you have no active, valid RSS feeds defined.

If you can post a screenshot of your RSS settings, that could help ... Go to https://postimages.org/, post the image, and post the URL here.

Indeed make sure the checkmark is active next to the RSS feed in Config RSS.

In the first screenshot, you have four feeds, but only one has a blue check mark. Why no check mark at the other three?

And just to be sure, do you have anything set in Config > Scheduling?

Also note that all the downloads have a * in front, which indicates that they were fetched during the first fetch. Those will not be grabbed automatically. Explained at the bottom of the page: https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/configuration/2.3/rss

I'm good now. I deleted all the deselected scheduled items just to eliminate the crazy. Same with the unused fss feeds. Then deleted the filter with the *.
Nothing happened at first. When I restarted sab it immediately grabbed the feed and started dling. Put more in the cart, waited 15 minutes and the feed worked as expected.

Thanks for the help guys!
