Cannot manage Sabnzbd via VPN to home network

Everything works fine on the LAN. I am trying to expand to be able to manage the client outside my network. I am trying to avoid port forwarding it and opening it to the world. I already have a standing VPN to my home network via PfSense. I use this to RDP to my desktop and shows I have access from the VPN network of x.x.2.0/24 to the main home LAN of x.x.1.0/24. However, when trying to hit the sabnzbd client from the x.x.2.0 network I get nothing. Like it cannot resolve the IP.
