Stop C drive filling up

Post by Ryley199 »

I have Radarr and Sonarr, both set up and they work well with SABNZB, my issue is that Sonarr, tends to temp download to C, wheras Radarr does not, as it uses D.

My C drive is only a small 124gb SSD mainly for my OS and D drive has enough free space to handle the majority of my downloads, especially when I go mad for a day.

If I download, say 20 episodes+ this fills up the SSD creating a pause due to full error. Is there a way to change this?

TIA.

What is filling your C / temp: SABnzbd, or Sonarr?

That's the strangest thing,
I have searched my C drive whilst this behavior is going on and I cant find where these files are going or being held temporarily. Been through Temp, app data etc,

When I pull movies via Radarr I see my D drive storage drop ( used space increase), which is what I want, but when I pull via Sonarr my C Drive storage drops ( i.e free space available decreases).

I gone through the settings in SAB, Radarr, Sonarr and cant find anything that might reveal why this is happening. SAB is told to use D as temp storage.

My main concern is that with this constant writing, its going to burn out the SSD quicker than I would like and the secondary issue is the stopping of downloads to to full drive during operations.

Well, if something fills up your C drive, you should be able to find it. Search from the root C:\ and look for big files (bigger than 250 MB?). https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/save ... windows-10 might help (I have no Windows at hand now, so I cannot verify)

Hiya
Yeah, I'm pretty windows competent, so got a good idea how to search root folders etc.; just figured there might be some setting that was known on this behaviour within SAB. thanks for the comms though.
