I finally got my Original Dr Who collection digitized. I named them along the same lines as the original with :

╰> $ ls -1 *.avi | head
Doctor Who - S01E00 (000) - Unaired Pilot.avi
Doctor Who - S01E01 (001) - An Unearthly Child (1) - An Unearthly Child.avi
Doctor Who - S01E01 (001) - An Unearthly Child (2) - The Cave of Skulls.avi
Doctor Who - S01E01 (001) - An Unearthly Child (3) - The Forest of Fear.avi
Doctor Who - S01E01 (001) - An Unearthly Child (4) - The Firemaker.avi
Doctor Who - S01E02 (002) Bonus - Creation of the Daleks.avi
Doctor Who - S01E02 (002) - The Daleks (1) - The Dead Planet.avi
Doctor Who - S01E02 (002) - The Daleks (2) - The Survivors.avi
Doctor Who - S01E02 (002) - The Daleks (3) - The Escape.avi
Doctor Who - S01E02 (002) - The Daleks (4) - The Ambush.avi

There are 54 video files Season 1 but since it is numbered by the group and sub-group (e.g. Episode 1, part 1-4 ) Sabnzbd only see's 8 episodes. How can I get it to recognize them correctly including the bonus episodes? There are 1053 videos, I'd rather not do trial and error?

For series management you should use specialized tools lik Sonarr, they are made for this stuff. Cataloging, renaming, everything!
We just have a simple system limited to rename things when they come in.

I do have and am using Sonarr for some other systems also. Can I have Sonarr rename it after I manually ripped these? Is there a pattern for these? I can script the renaming if needed.

I'm not a true expert on Sonarr, they also have forums that might be better able to help you :)
