Cannot Create Directory (3.3.1-49) [DSM7]

Post by Junkt0wn »

Hi,

Recently got the new version of sabnzdb under DSM 7 so likely to be an issue with DSM rather than sab.

Have given the app full control to the the downloads folder as well as sc-download also having full control.

Deleting and trying to get sab to create these folders also isn't working either

These folders were already established before the upgrade from DSM 6 to 7

Code: Select all

 ls -ll Downloads/
total 0
d---------+ 1 admin users 0 Sep 7 11:05 complete
d---------+ 1 root root 8 Sep 7 02:05 @eaDir
d---------+ 1 admin users 0 Sep 7 11:06 incomplete
d---------+ 1 root root 644 Sep 7 10:39 '#recycle'
Would prefer not to have to do custom permissions via CLI if I don't have to

OK.

So the issue becomes that you cannot use a pre-existing shared folder for your downloads destination.

I needed to create a new one. I assume that this is due to that it doesn't have ownership to begin with so therefore it can't adjust any of the proper permissions.

Perhaps this isn't a big deal and I might be unique in this situation having done a fresh install on DSM7

Maybe report this at SynoCommunity. A lot has changed in DSM 7 with the permissions and it's been very hard to get it right.. Using an existing share should work!
