NZB File Not Downloading on Sabnzbd

Post by ArtofLife »

I know there are many threads about this, but none of the ones I read had a solution to this.

When I use Sabnzbd to download an nzb file, it doesn't download. The connection to the news server is connected and also fine, AFAIK. Sometimes it'll go to 3% then drop back to 0%.

Is there something I didn't do right when setting up the connection or from when I added the NZB file?

Let's do some basic checks yet:
Are you using SABnzbd 3.3.1?
What happens when you click Test Server in Config > Servers?
What happens when you use the 100MB test-download in the Status and Interface settings window (the wrench icon)?

I'm using SABnzbd 3.3.1. When I click Test Server, it says "Connection Succesful!" and the 100MB test download goes through; it just takes a while.

NOTE: Since I last posted, the file I'm downloading has gone up to 10%. I guess it's just a slow download speed? It is 11.4GB. The eta shows as 79:10:17:51 which I'm guessing is days:hr:min:seconds. If it's just a slow download speed, is there a way to correct it?

How many servers do you use?
And how many connections? Try with a low number, like 10.
Otherwise, in the Status window switch logging to Debug and then after a while click Show Logging. It will show anything special about the connections, if there's timeouts or anything.

The problems are timeouts, your log is full of it.
Either you are in a remote location, your ISP is blocking usenet or bad wifi maybe?
Try a different newsserver provider and use less connections. Even with 15 connections I can easily get 20MB/s.
