SabNzb+ linux binaries?

Post by jeff_porter »

Hello all,

I've had SABNZB 0.2.5 install for a while, and I see that project is now defunct.

BUT, I've found you guys SABNAB+ 3.0.x  ;D ;D

So, I'd like to get this SABNZB+ installed on my DS107e (intel based linux box).

I can only see 'exe' win32 compiles of SABNAB+, are they linux versions?
Or is SABNZB+ nolonger based on python?

Applogies if SABNZB and SABNZB+ are nothing to do with each other and I've got confused.

To install on your NAS, try following this guide posted by neilt0.

You also may want to look at the guide for the 106, which mine was based on: http://209.85.129.104/search?q=cache:uS ... cd=1&gl=us

It is not possible for us to create Linux binaries. There are just too many distributions and versions about.
Binaries are usually created by other people and added to the apt-get systems of the distributions.
I know that SABnzbd 0.3.1 is now almost ready for inclusion (as an option) in Ubuntu.
One problem is that the distributions are usually behind a bit.
They can only start working after our releases are out.

People have also created installation instructions for specialized systems like NAS and SAN boxes.

There's no need for binaries on the Synology 107. Use the guide I linked to to start with.

You can't get much simpler than the instructions posted -- if you're hacking a NAS you're expected to have some knowledge and/or spend time reading up on the NAS forums to learn how it's all done.

Be careful if you are new to Linux as you could brick your NAS. Post questions on Synoloogy forums for further help, as people there have installed SAB.

Thanks for all your help.

In the end setting up on the DS107e was pretty simple.

It's great to use a forum where people actually respond and help out.

Cheers.
