TVNZB Is Down

Post by inpheaux »

1) We Know. We don't know when it will return, if at all.
2) All sites depending on TVNZB will no longer work (Ex: TVNZBRSS.com, tvnzb.mine.nu, etc)
3) Threads on the topic will be closed. If you want to discuss it, discuss it here.

Are there any good alternatives for the RSS feeds?
I've tried to search a good alternativel but there isn't much on the net.

No public site compares to the simplicity of TVNZBRSS.

I considered hosting one, however after the British court ruling on newzbin I am not sure I want the liability. tvnzb.com was not that complex of a site. It could be done alot better fairly easily.

I mis it already, got a alternative but get a lot of duplicates because sabnzbd doesn't seem to remove them.

A little bit of scripting and the duplicates will never exist. My only problem is that without a peer review system like nzbtv 5/15 files I downloaded last night were a password-ed rar with run this virus exe to get the password.

DarkPhalanx, Sabnzbd has a great api. I suggest you look into scripting something yourself. You can for instance have your system know when a new episode comes out and search only for that episode. It can then download 1 file after the next "Within reasonable bounds" until it gets the video.

NZB-TV Matrix Edition - 6th of April 2010
nzbmatrix is now supported in this version called NZB-TV Matrix Edition

This NZB-TV Matrix Edition requires you to have a VIP account at NZBMatrix.com.

For use with newzbin use the latest normal NZB-TV (e.g. for anime should still work OK)
You will require a nzbmatrix VIP account.

Obviously not the same as linking an RSS feed to sabnzb but its a decent alternative.

I have a VIP account on nzb-matrix now and I must say its a good alternative for tvnzb, and the integration with sabnzbd is great :)

OK, I've attached a screenshot of how i've set mine. Some shows I've set it to download anything that is available and others to only download from the current series.

The RSS link I've used is http://nzbs.org/rss.php?catid=14 which is for X264 TV.

For now I just replaced the tvnzb feed with:

Code: Select all

http://nzbindex.nl/rss/alt.binaries.teevee/?q=-german+-vostfr&sort=agedesc&minsize=300&maxsize=3000&complete=1&max=25&more=1&nzblink=1
Had to turn on the dupe-filter though as these aren't manually created :(

Gets the feed from everything posted in a.b.teevee
The command also filters out german & french stuff and anything smaller than 300 or bigger than 3000 MB

Ok, thanks for the nzbs.org hint!

I refined it a bit. Made my own search with a "tv" filter, so it's supposed to show
only reports with "hdtv" or "pdtv" which should get rid of most of the old stuff that is ripped from dvds and such.

Oh and don't forget to read the RSS help at the bottom of the page for it to download correctly. (&dl=1)

Ah yeah, wondered why i was having some issues. I'm now using the category for X264 TV but you can use your own bookmark RSS feed if needs be and do the filtering at nzbs.org which is handy for different things.
