Newzbin is changing their domain name to newzbin2.es. How do I update SabNzbd to reflect the change?

Just wait for the next release. The old URL will still work for some time.

Meh, this is a minor inconvenience in the long run. Newzbin2.es works now, the same as it always has. Kudos to Team R Dogs! =D

Why is it a minor inconvenience? newzbin.com is only going to work for a few more weeks. We need a new build of sabnzb now so we can test and deploy before newzbin.com is shut down. I also need to get new builds of Couch Potato and Sick Beard as soon as they are ready.

There's a new version of SABnzbd under way.

I run from source, I'd like to edit the file where this is defined and use the new domain name now. I have already updated Couch potato and Sick Beard to use it.

It's not that straightforward.
newzbin.com will be around long enough for the next release of SABnzbd.

I just checked. The string newzbin.com is hard coded all over the place. Interface templates, language files and python code. This can be easily fixed using a global search and replace though. You then also have to updated the compiled pyo and pyc files.

If Newzbin2 cuts off before the next release then just add newzbin2.com to your host file (or OS's equivalent). They aren't changing IP address.

That is smart, but I think what you meant was add newzbin.com to my hosts file. newzbin2.es is the surviving entity.

An unintended side effect of this action is that any SSL connection to the newzbin.com domain will complain about the certificate being invalid for the IP address, which is technically true.

FYI, seems like it broke today. I can no longer add NZB and paste in the Newzbin ID:
