Weird Web Interface Issue

Post by LW195 »

Hi All,

I'm experiencing a weird issue accessing the interface. To bring you up to speed on my setup, I have a dedicated i5 machine to host my Plex and Sabnzbd, and my main work/gaming pc.

On my gaming PC the interface comes up like this, no matter what. I have cleared cache, cookies, etc etc.

On the server, and externally it comes up fine.

Any ideas?

What if you try to access the server not via a bookmark, but just by typing the address directly into the bar?
Because this usually happens when you have your username@password in the URL (for basic authentication). This behavior was changed in recent versions of Firefox and Chrome to not allow this anymore.

I have the same issue but I didn't I had my username and password in the Url.

As you say just typing it in solves the issue.

I normally however click through from SABConnect in Chrome so that must be putting them in the URL instead.

I am still curious as why the behaviour happens though i.e. you get some of the content, albeit the CSS doesn't appear to work :)

It's a change in Chrome, it has a different policy now about loading external resources when the url has some authentication something in it.
